Welcome to a new year of Spanish!

This week we'll cover some basics: greetings, introductions and some numbers.

Please watch the videos below to prepare, practice and reinforce some of these concepts.

Don't worry if at first you don't understand everything you hear. We will go over most of these new concepts in class.

03/18/13: ¿Cómo te llamas? y ¿De dónde eres?

Today we went over introductions in further detail.

Below, you will find a couple of videos that will help you review this topic.

Please notice the difference in spelling and pronunciation when in an informal (friendly) vs. a more formal (businesslike or respectful) setting.

03/11/13: El abecedario, ¿Como estás? Buenos días....

Today we learned the alphabet and the sounds in Spanish, covered several new basic greetings and practiced the colors and numbers some more.

If you want to practice the alphabet online go to this 123TeachMe link and/or watch any of these short videos. Don't be overwhelmed by all the talk before and after the song in the third video (they are basically asking Cosmo, the dog, to join them)

You can also download a free Spanish Alphabet app here (Android). iOS users can find similar apps online.

Today we learned about colors, numbers and some basic greetings and introductions. Below are some links that you may want to use to reinforce what we covered in class.

For numbers (1-30) you can go to this interactive site,  or play this fun game (you can adjust the settings to match your skills). You can also watch the following videos if you wish.
